Items We Do/Don't Accept

You can sell anything that is for children or expecting/new caregivers that is in good condition.

What you can't sell are things that are 1) not made for children or expecting/new caregivers OR 2) in bad condition.

We don't want you to waste your time prepping items that we know won't sell so please read the details below.

Any item that we pull from the sale floor will either be retuned to consignor or donated if it's marked for donation.

Items that you need to get rid of that can not be sold with us can be donated to a donation center (Goodwill, etc) or can be listed for sale online (Facebook marketplace, etc). You are also welcome to contact a group found on our donations page.

Clothing, Shoes, Accessories

✅ What We Do Sell

Preemie - 18 years: All seasons ok but season appropriate sells better.
Maternity & Nursing: Basics and current styles sell best.
Dedicated Racks: Smocked - Monogramed - Holidays - Athleasure - Disney - Religious - Team Apparel - Sports & Dance - Snow Gear - Swim - Coats - Boys Suits & Jacket - Local School Spirit

🚫 What We Don't Sell

Damaged items: No broken zippers, dried-out elastic, or major rips.
Gross shoes: All footwear must be clean and ready to wear.
Stained clothing: Check thoroughly for marks, especially yellow milk stains.
Basic white onesies: No used Gerber-style multipack onesies.
Outdated styles: Avoid items that modern children will not wear.
Adult clothing: No adult styles. Adult sizes ok for older kids but must be a modern teen style.
Used underwear: Only brand-new items in unopened packaging are allowed.
Worn-out fleece pajamas: No pilling, thinning, or heavily used fleece.
School uniforms: Please donate these directly to your school community. Clothing with school logo ok if it's not for a specific event.
Event clothing: No items featuring specific event titles, sponsors, or dates.

⚠️ Important Exceptions

High-end brands: Minor spots or holes are okay on luxury items if priced low. These make for stress-free playwear.
Budget brands: Carter's and similar brands must be completely flawless.
Missing buttons: These are sellable if you price the item low.
New basic white onesies: Brand-new white onesies are sellable if priced very low.
Vintage clothing: Vintage pieces are welcome if they are in good condition.
Teen clothing: Adult-sized clothes for teens must be modern and trendy.

Toys + Books

✅ What We Do Sell

Toys: Baby to big kid. Tiny to large. Indoor and outdoor.
Books: Baby to parenting.

🚫 What Doesn't Sell

Antiques: No item that current children wouldn't/can't play with.
Mardi Gras throws: I think every parent is trying to avoid more MG throws in their house.
Brittle plastic: No faded and broken plastic.
Missing battery toys: Sellers need to know battery powered toys work. Include batteries before drop-off.
Recalled toys: Sellers and shoppers are responsible for knowing if an item is unsafe for their children. If we know an item is recalled, we will pull it off the floor.

Furniture + Decor

✅ What We Do Sell

Kid's furniture: Beds, dressers, chairs, etc
Kid linens: Sheet sets, pillows, sleeping bags
Monogramed items
Bedroom decor: Bean bags, decorative pillows, pictures

🚫 What Doesn't Sell

Furniture for adults: If it could be sold with non-children furniture, then its not for our sale. Only sell items sized and designed for children.
Bulky wood bed frames and dressers: The style is outdated and they are really hard for shoppers to bring home.
Dated styles
Items not designed for children: Items need to be obviously designed for children.

Maternity & Nursing

Clothing: Pregnancy and nursing clothing and accessories basics and current styles.
Breast & bottle feeding: Pumps, bottles, formula, nursing bras, etc
Accessories: Pregnancy pillows, nursing pillows, diaper bags, etc.

🚫 What Doesn't Sell

Opened formula: Any formula needs to be in unopened packages and not expired.
Outdated styles
Damaged items

Everything Else

Spots & Dance Equipment: Gear, clothing, shoes, accessories
Bikes & scooters
Back To School: Backpacks, nap mats, etc.
Party Supplies: Themed party supplies, party hats, etc
Photo Markers: Pregnancy and milestone markers.
DVDs
Musical instruments: Keyboard, guitars, etc.
Large Inflatables: Bounce houses, inflatables
Costumes: Pretend play and costumes.
Outdoor items: Camping, beach, etc
Gaming devices
Electronics
Bathroom items: Very clean potties, bath tubs, bath toys, towels

🚫 What Doesn't Sell

Outdated media: VHS, cassette, etc.
Small Appliances: No coffee makers, toasters, blenders, etc.

Car Seats & Strollers

✅ What We Do Sell

Car seats & boosters: Unexpired car seats and accessories,
Strollers & wagons: Any condition if still usable.

🚫 What Doesn't Sell

Rusted and torn fabric: If it can't be used, don't sell it.
Expired or damaged car seats: No item that current children wouldn't/can't play with. Every car seat is different when it expires. It is up to the seller and buyer to find out.

⚠️ When a car seat expires or becomes unsafe, your disposal options are unfortunately very limited.

Trade-In Programs: Target currently hosts the only major car seat trade-in event. We recommend signing up for their email updates to be notified of their next drive.
Recycling: There are currently no known car seat recycling facilities in the New Orleans area. If you know of a local option we missed, please email us at info@ccexnola.com.
Trashing (with care): Because recycling is unavailable, most seats must go in the trash. ** To prevent someone from pulling an unsafe seat out of the garbage, please completely disassemble and destroy it before throwing it away. **

Baby Items

Electronics: Monitors, sound machines, etc
Feeding: Bottles, baby food maker, storage, pumps
Cleaning: Diaper pail, diapers, changing table, diaper bag, bathtubs
Furniture: High chair, crib, bassinet, pack-n-play
Baby containment: Exersaucer, swing, pack-n-play, high chairs, play pins, slings and carrieres
Linens: Blankets, sheets, etc
Lovies & new pacifiers

Dirty items
Recalled items: We do not always know what is on the recall list. It is up to the seller and buyer to check and confirm. If we do know something is recalled, we will remove it from the sales floor.
